St Nicolas Primary School offers the kind of warm, caring and stimulating environment in which children aged 4 to 11 learn best. At St Nicolas we use our beachside location, access to the local environment and strong local community to build a relevant, compelling, creative and innovative curriculum which challenges and develops its pupils. We balance our local connections with strong African links and are keen to look outside our own community both regionally, nationally and internationally. The school fosters a feeling of inclusiveness and respect where each and every child is valued and values others. It is a safe place for pupils to reach their full potential. We have an established commitment to the the enhancement of the pupils learning using educational visits and residential trips, both of which also give the children the opportunity to grow socially and emotionally. We are proud of our sporting success and encourage children to participate in our wide range of after school clubs. St Nicolas has a dedicated team of teachers, governors and parents who work hard together and make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all our pupils. In our experience, the best learning takes place as a result of a good partnership between home and school and we encourgae parents to play an active role in their child's learning.
